Medical Billing & Coding at Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants

The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants, WSMDA, now offers a Medical Billing and Coding Course to facilitate entry into this growing field. Our program spans 100 hours of instruction over 13 sessions. Students will become prepared to work in many environments including physicians’ offices, medical laboratories, nursing homes, hospitals and other health care settings. Our billing and coding school training is designed to prepare students to sit for the National Health career Association (NHA) Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam.

Medical providers are increasingly interfacing with insurance companies, pharmacies, labs and other sectors of the healthcare industry electronically. America’s aging population needs more healthcare services. These two factors are fueling the demand for medical billing and coding professionals. Employment in the field is expected to grow 13% through 2026, almost double the 7% average for all occupations.
