Nursing Assistant Course Curriculum
In this course, we cover a wide range of important topics, including the role of the Nursing Assistant, patients’ rights, ethics, and effective communication with both patients and the healthcare team. You’ll also dive into medical terminology and understand the human body in health and disease. Other key areas of study include safety practices, infection control, personal care, nutrition, and basic skills like transferring patients and monitoring vital signs. Plus, you’ll gain hands-on experience with 30 hours of clinical training, allowing you to apply what you’ve learned in a real-world setting.
Student Expectations for the Nursing Assistant Course
As a student in this course, you will:
- Arrive on time and participate actively in class
- Bring your textbook and necessary materials
- Attend at least 90% of classes
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 70%
